Serving our community through accessibility
For over 25 years, the Arts Alive program has been one of the many ways Broadway Sacramento works to promote accessibility, ensuring the arts are available to all. Providing Open Captioning, Audio Description, Tactile Pre-Show Presentations, Braille Playbills and American Sign Language interpretation allows us to welcome organizations serving people with disabilities and shape the experience to meet their needs.
“It was the boys’ first play or musical and they absolutely LOVED it. They were both so in awe with the whole event. Thank you so much for this amazing experience.”
– Children’s Choice for Hearing & Talking patron
Arts Alive patrons are given the opportunity to attend a Broadway At Music Circus performance at the drastically discounted rate of $6.00 per ticket, and take part in a talk-back session where actors and artistic staff present background information on the production and field questions from the audience. Finally, the day is topped off with free popcorn and water for all.
