MUSICAL THEATRE PERFORMANCE
Broadway Sacramento Conservatory classes are designed to give students (age 12+) professional musical theatre training in acting, singing and dancing, the essential components of musical theatre performance.
The Broadway Sacramento Conservatory is the region’s only program of its kind taught by nationally recognized industry professionals. And tuition is less than $30 per class for the program’s 28 classes.
SCENE STUDY
Explore character development through script analysis and discover the tools necessary for crafting an impactful performance.
PRODUCTION NUMBER
Collaborate as a group while learning a song-and-dance ensemble number that will emphasize vocal harmony and movement precision.
DANCE
Refine dance skills by learning choreography from a Broadway show, taught by an experienced Broadway performer.
ACTING THE SONG
Receive individualized coaching on two song selections in preparation for professional auditioning.

Monica serves as guest faculty at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway and holds a M.S. in Education from Northern Illinois University.
Brian Steven Shaw

Broadway At Music Circus: Sugar, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins, La Cage aux Folles, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The SpongeBob Musical, Fiddler on the Roof, Sunset Boulevard. Regional: La Mirada Theatre, Pittsburgh CLO, TUTS. Brian graduated from California State University of Fullerton with a BFA in Musical Theatre. He has performed for the Disney Company for a total of 16 years including at Disneyland® Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Disney on Broadway and Disney on Tour.
Kyle Coffman
(Production Number)
Kyle Coffman made his Broadway debut as an original cast member (‘A-rab’) of the 2009 revival of West Side Story, directed by Arthur Laurents. He originated the role of ‘Henry’ in Disney’s Newsies on Broadway and served as the model for the official logo. Kyle was an original cast member of the Broadway revival of The Mystery of Edwin Drood, starring Chita Rivera. In 2021 he played the role of ‘Ice’ in Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story.” He has been seen in various other plays, films, and regional musical theatre productions throughout his career, including multiple performances on the Tony awards.
