The cast in the Broadway At Music Circus premiere of KINKY BOOTS includes several actors who performed in the show’s Broadway and National Tour companies. Playing Lola is award-winning actor Alan Mingo Jr., who played the role in the Broadway and Canadian productions, appeared on Broadway in RENT and Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID, performed in the National Tours of Disney’s THE LION KING, HAIRSPRAY and RENT, and in the Broadway At Music Circus productions of THE WIZ (2019) and LA CAGE AUX FOLLES (2014). Playing Charlie Price is Zach Adkins, who performed on Broadway in DIANA, THE MUSICAL and ANASTASIA, in the National Tour of KINKY BOOTS, and in regional theatre companies throughout the country. Lauren is played by Haley Podschun, who appeared on Broadway in HELLO, DOLLY!, SOMETHING ROTTEN!, CHAPLIN, ANYTHING GOES, PAL JOEY, SUNDAY IN THE PARK…, HAIRSPRAY and THE SOUND OF MUSIC; was in the National Tour of WICKED; and was in the 2008 Broadway At Music Circus production of HAIRSPRAY.
Playing Nicola is Shannon O’Boyle, who played the role in the Broadway production, appeared on Broadway in ONCE, and was last at Broadway At Music Circus in the 2016 production of LEGALLY BLONDE. Playing Don, a role he originated in the Broadway production, is Daniel Stewart Sherman, who also appeared on Broadway in DESIRE UNDER THE ELMS, CYRANO DE BERGERAC, A TOUCH OF THE POET, HENRY IV and THE FULL MONTY, as well as in a number of regional theatre companies. Jeff Skowron, who performed on Broadway in ENRON, HIGH SOCIETY, THE LION KING, HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, as well as in the 2019 Broadway At Music Circus productions of OKLAHOMA! and GUYS AND DOLLS, plays the role of George. Making her Broadway At Music Circus debut playing Trish, a role she originated on Broadway, is Jennifer Perry, who also appeared in Broadway’s SPIDER MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK and MAMMA MIA!
