Based on the Oscar-winning animated film, SHREK THE MUSICAL brings the beloved swamp-dwelling ogre and his trusty sidekick to life. Together they embark on a life-changing journey to rescue the feisty Princess Fiona, encountering a hilarious community of misfits. Fun for adults and kids alike, this Tony-winning adventure, with songs from Jeanine Tesori and a book by David Lindsay-Abaire, is a story about acceptance, proving that beauty is truly in the eye of the ogre. CONTENT GUIDE: Based on the animated film and very similar in content, the show tells the story of a gruff ogre sent on a journey that changes his life. Contains some mild adult innuendo, potty humor and jokes, very mild language and twists on the traditional fairytale characters. The dragon may be scary to very young children. Children under four (including babes in arms) will not be admitted.
